We love this belt massager! We've only had it for a couple of weeks but my boyfriend and I still say to each other once in awhile "Why did we not get this sooner??". Here's the thing - do NOT get this to lose weight. Unless your'e an extremely sedentary person using this will make absolutely no difference in your calories burned. So, why is this thing so amazing you ask? Have you ever had a massage? This thing will make you feel better the way a paid massage does, but for the price of like 2 in-person massages you get to have a massage multiple times a day for probably years (the machine seems quite durable).Your body has a lymphatic system which is a big part of keeping you from getting sick and just feeling like crap in general. A few minutes (or even 1 minute) with the vibrating massage and your lymph fluid gets moving and you feel so much better. Now, I would also recommend a low-carb, anti-inflammatory diet to make yourself healthy as well, but that is neither here nor there. Regardless of your nutrition (or lack there of), this machine should make you feel better. You know that terrible aching feeling you get in your neck and you think you "strained" a muscle except you didn't actually do anything to it? Or the ache in your back even though you've just been sitting around? Yeah, that''s your lymph nodes trying to do their job and this machine will help them along. Why are our lymphatic systems so bad at flowing? I don't know, they've probably been ruined by years of high-carb, processed diets. Maybe it's just that we humans sit around on our butts too much compared to what we used to do. Whatever causes it, this machine feels wonderful every time I use it, and it also means that I don't have to wear my hands out massaging my boyfriends neck & shoulders all the time. Yay!PS The machine was super easy to put together! I had the bf do it because I'm always scared of putting things together but even I could have done it, it was THAT simple. It's also pretty lightweight so you can move it around easily by yourself. I do not think you need to worry about being too heavy for this machine - if you're 300+ you might just want to not lean on the belt too much, just to be safe. Please, do not let being overweight stop you from buying this. When you're overweight your system has even more problems with getting that lymphatic system moving - trust me, I know as I've been there. And, try a low-carb diet! You have no idea what a difference it can make in your life, trust me. :)
