I purchased the blender from TYCS and experienced no issues in the delivery, but was very surprised to receive a package from Sam’s Club with my name on the receipt as if I’d made the purchase at the store. TYCS is not affiliated with Sam’s. Well, I guess I had one issue with the delivery… the date kept moving. Fortunately, it arrived on the earliest date given. The Blendtec is AMAZING! We’ve made several smoothies, nut butters and batches of hummus with no issues. The recipes in the book are delicious, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised as to the numerous web sites offering smoothie recipes. The blender pulverizes fruits and veggies into a frothy, rich smoothie in a matter of seconds. A little experimentation with the amount of added water will help determine if you prefer a more or less foamy smoothie. Nothing has become caught in the blades so far. Cleaning is a breeze, which is accomplished by adding water and soap and pulsing for 10 seconds. Additional cleaning to the jar is easy with the large jar and the dull blades. This appliance is perfect for those people wanting a great multipurpose device to help them make fresh dishes especially smoothies. Who knew that red cabbage or broccoli could be so delicious in a smoothie?!The only drawback is it IS LOUD. Quite LOUD. I expect that from a high powered appliance and from reading the reviews. You will wake people in your house if you use this during the wee hours of the morning. Fortunately, it works efficiently and quickly, so it’s only loud for a matter of seconds. Another drawback is the black feet do mark up my grey counters a bit. This was remedied by putting a matt under it and holding it while it runs. Again, it doesn't run that long, so not a big deal.We did a lot of research between Blendtec and Vitamix. The dull blades and larger jar won us over. We’re very happy with our purchase!
